Client Side Classic Ether Wallet get Hacked



 An unknown attacker has picked up control over the web site of Classic Ether Wallet, a customer side wallet framework for the Ethereum Classic (ETC) digital currency.

As indicated by a Reddit string, the assault occurred around midnight between Thursday, June 29, and Friday, June 30, when the obscure programmer persuaded the care staff at web facilitating supplier 1on1 to yield control over the official space from its genuine proprietor.



The hacker phished credentials and immediately redirected wallets main domain and altered transactions in order to redirect currency to his wallet.

Users who logged into their wallets on June 30 have exposed their private keys.

On Reddit affected users  reported having lost ETC. One user reported having lost  201 ETC ($3,600), another one lost 800 ETC ($14,500).

 In view of reported cases, the attacker may have redirected about $300,000 worth of ETC money from hacked accounts.

And ETC money were shared in little exchanges to various different accounts, attacker may have used 'tumbler' service to hide his tracks.
