The Cyber Attack called "PETYA", which started in Ukraine spread over across the world. It's spreading in other European countries including Spain, Russia, Denmark, and India as well.
State Power Distributor of Ukraine and Kievs Airport were first to detect the issues.
The world's Largest Marketing Giant WPP's went offline after this attack. WPP has confirmed that their many companies have been affected by virus.
"Petya attack is done by using NSA's ETERNAL BLUE exploit", said Edward Snowden on Twitter.
Infected machines displays a message demanding of a payment of $300 in Bitcoin to get access to encrypted files. It's same message and concept previously displayed in "WANNACRY" ransomware attack.
Andrei Bareserich told to BBC,"It was updated earlier in 2017 by the criminals when certain aspects were defeated, the ransomware was called "Petya" and updated version "Petrwrap".
"Petya" works similarly as "WANNACRY" ransomware that was infected more than two lakh computers within the last month. Petya was previously affected systems in 2016.
Ukraine Central Bank, Aircraft manufacturer Autonov, and Postal Service were also affected by ransomware.
Boryspil International Airport's Director Pavel Ryabikin wrote on Facebook, "The official site of the Airport and the scoreboard with the schedule of flights aren't working!".
The Russian oil company "Rosnett" also reported Cyberattack on their servers.
